Ananda Martin-Caughey
Welcome! I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology at Brown University.
I received my PhD in Sociology from NYU and have worked as a Survey Statistician for the U.S. Census Bureau. Prior to coming to NYU, I was a researcher at the Urban Institute in Washington, DC. I received my bachelor's degree in government, with a minor in economics, from Harvard.
My research centers on stratification, work & organizations, gender, and race. I am particularly interested in how work is changing and the implications for inequality and gender and racial stratification.
My research has been funded by the National Science Foundation, the Russell Sage Foundation, and the Washington Center for Equitable Growth. It has been published by the American Sociological Review and Sociological Methodology.
